Olena Perepelynska spoke at the «Arbitration in emerging markets» conference
9 December, Moscow, Olena Perepelynska, counsel at Sayenko Kharenko, spoke at the “Arbitration in emerging markets” conference organized by ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (ICC YAF) on the eve of ICC Russia's annual conference “Russia as a place for dispute resolution: anticipating the changes” and hosted by Norton Rose Fulbright.
During the conference arbitration experts discussed the ICC perspective, arbitration in CIS and best practices in international arbitration. The event became a perfect platform for young practitioners to exchange thoughts on international arbitration, and enrich their network in the region.
Mrs. Perepelynska participated in a panel discussion entitled “Arbitration in CIS” and provided the audience with the SWOT analysis of the arbitration in Ukraine, highlighting its main strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. In particular, she described the activities of the Ukrainian Arbitration Association aiming to tackle the major weaknesses and threats for arbitration in the country as well as to promote Ukraine as a potential seat of arbitration.
Olena has been recommended among leading arbitration practitioners in Ukraine by The International Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitration 2013 and Ukrainian Law Firms 2013; and among leading dispute resolution practitioners in Ukraine by Chambers Global 2013.
