Nataliya Mykolska – panelist at the ELSA Moot Court Competition
Nataliya Mykolska, counsel at Sayenko Kharenko, Head of International Trade practice, acted as panelist at the annual ELSA Moot Court Competition (EMC²), the 6th national round of which took place on 23-24 February in Lviv. Mrs. Mykolska supports the competition from its very start in Ukraine in 2007.
The ELSA Moot Court Competition is a simulated hearing of the World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute settlement system and is organized annually by The European Law Students' Association (ELSA) and open to teams from around the globe.
The aim of the EMC² is threefold: firstly, to encourage further development on the subject matter of the WTO in the curriculum of academic institutions. Secondly, to contribute to the ongoing discussion regarding globalisation in the context of the WTO Agreements. Finally, to assist countries in developing their technical legal capacity by preparing the next generation of trade lawyers and negotiators.
This year’s regional rounds of the EMC² will be held on 20-24 March and 26-30 March in Romania and Portugal respectively, the international round will take place in Geneva.
The 2013 ELSA Moot Court Competition also involves panel discussion, where Mrs. Mykolska spoke at the Ukrainian peculiarities of removing trade barriers on export markets.
