Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Practice Moot Court took place in Kyiv
ENGARDE Attorneys at Law have acted as the organizers of the first Kyiv Practice Moot of Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court, which was held on February 22, 2013 at the premises of the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The practice moot in Kyiv was organized with the support by the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in order to provide the participants from Europe with an opportunity to practice their mooting skills, develop their oratorical skills and prepare their arguments in the run-up to Frankfurt.
The pre-moot in Kyiv ran parallel to the practice moots held in Washington D.C., London, Hong Kong and Mumbai.
There were 7 teams participating in the Kyiv Practice Moot: Belarusian State University, Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, University of Luxembourg, Odessa I.I.Mechnikov National University, Stockholm University. The hearings were conducted and arbitrated by 23 legal practitioners from numerous countries.
The teams of the universities of Stockholm and Luxembourg met in the final round of the first Kyiv Practice Moot. The Stockholm team won in the final. All the participating teams carry on with their preparation and will meet in the final round on the 18th March 2013 at the premises of Goethe-Universität Frankfurt.
