Avellum Partners advises on buyout of AVK’s shares from Western NIS Enterprise Fund
Avellum Partners announces today that it acted as the legal counsel to AVK in connection with the buyout of 25,1% of shares in AVK from Western NIS Enterprise Fund (“Transaction”). Avellum Partners have also advised AVK in connection with obtaining of the approval of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for this Transaction.
AVK is one of the largest confectionery manufacturers in Ukraine. Established in 1991, now AVK incorporates 4 factories based in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk, and Mukacheve.
Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF) is a USD150 million fund that invests in small and medium-sized companies in Ukraine and Moldova.
The Avellum Partners team was led by its Managing Partner, Mykola Stetsenko, with significant input of Associates, Mariya Detkova, Artem Shyrkozhukhov, and Yuriy Zaremba. Associates Mykyta Nota and Iaroslav Medvedev were responsible for the antitrust filing.
